Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data the Le Territoire Médical site collects, why, how long it keeps it and what your rights are. The data controller is the publisher of the site, Guelai-Riad, who can be contacted at contact@leterritoiremedical.com.

1. What we collect

Visitors without an account

  • Technical logs from the server and from Cloudflare (IP address, pages viewed, browser), kept for 14 days for security purposes.
  • If you use “Near me”, your location is sent to the server to calculate distances and is then immediately discarded: it is never stored.
  • If you report a page without being signed in: the reason, the details you give, your IP address and, if you provide it, your email address.

Patient accounts

  • Name, email address, password (hashed, unreadable to us), optional phone number, preferred language.
  • The messages you send to practitioners through the contact form: subject, text, date, IP address. Your email address is passed on to the practitioner so that they can reply to you; theirs is never disclosed to you.

Professional and delegate accounts

  • The information on the page: identity, specialties, professional council registration number (optional), phone number, contact email (never displayed), opening hours, address, location, photos, profile.
  • The supporting documents requested during verification (registration document, identity document), kept for 90 days after the decision and then deleted.
  • For delegates: the declaration of authorisation, with the date, time and IP address of acceptance.

Security log

  • Successful and failed sign-ins, verification decisions and administrative actions are recorded with the IP address, for 12 months.

2. Why

To operate the platform (publishing verified pages, relaying your messages), to protect the site against abuse (rate limits, anti-bot checks, security log) and to meet our legal obligations. The processing is based on the performance of the service you request when you create an account or a page, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. We do not send any marketing communications.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent any data. Technical service providers process certain data on our behalf:

  • Hostinger (hosting of the site and the database);
  • Cloudflare (protection of the site, and Turnstile anti-bot verification on forms);
  • Brevo (sending emails: verification, notifications, contact relay);
  • OpenStreetMap: base maps are loaded from its servers, which therefore see your IP address when a map is displayed.

Practitioners receive your name and email address when you write to them. We do not pass anything on to anyone else, unless required by law.

4. How long

  • Account and page: for as long as the account exists.
  • Contact messages: for as long as the account exists; anonymised (detached from you) when the account is deleted.
  • Verification documents: 90 days after the decision.
  • Security log: 12 months. Server logs: 14 days.
  • Backups: rolling 30 days, encrypted.

5. Your rights

From your account, you can at any time view and correct your information, download all your data (JSON format) and request the deletion of your account. Deletion takes effect after a 7-day cooling-off period: your messages are anonymised, your pages removed and your account erased. For any other request (access, rectification, objection), write to contact@leterritoiremedical.com; we reply within one month.

If you consider that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.

6. Security

Passwords hashed with a modern algorithm, encrypted connection (HTTPS), mandatory two-factor authentication for administrators, security log, encrypted backups, and no health data ever collected: the site neither requests nor stores any medical information about you. Do not include any in contact messages.

7. Minors

The site is intended for adults. If you become aware of an account created by a minor without parental consent, please write to us.

8. Changes

This policy may change; the date at the top of the page indicates the latest version. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
