By creating an account or a page on Le Territoire Médical, you accept the terms below. The site is free of charge and is published on a non-profit basis by Guelai-Riad (contact@leterritoiremedical.com).

1. The service

The site enables healthcare professionals and healthcare establishments in Africa to present a verified page, and enables the public to find them and contact them through a form that protects the recipient's email address. The site provides no medical advice, guarantees no availability and does not book appointments.

2. Accounts

An account is personal. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any actions carried out from your account. A valid, verified email address is required. Only one account per person is permitted.

3. Practitioner and establishment pages

  • Only the practitioner themselves, or a person expressly authorised by the owner or the manager of the establishment (the “delegate”), may create or manage a page. The delegate signs a declaration of authorisation, recorded with the date and IP address.
  • The information published must be accurate, up to date and lawful. You warrant that you hold the rights to the photos and texts you submit and that you will not publish any personal data relating to third parties (in particular patients).
  • Every page is verified manually before publication. The publisher may request supporting documents, or refuse, suspend or remove a page, in particular in the event of doubtful information, duplication, impersonation or a well-founded report, without having to justify its decision in detail.
  • After publication, changes to identity, main specialty, professional council registration number, or to the name or location of an establishment are verified before they appear; other changes are published immediately.
  • Publication does not constitute any certification of qualifications, licences to practise or quality of care.

4. Contact form and reports

The contact form is reserved for verified accounts and for legitimate requests addressed to a practitioner or an establishment. The following are prohibited: canvassing, advertising, and messages that are repetitive, threatening, discriminatory or unrelated to a request for care. Volume limits apply. Reports must be made in good faith; abusive reports may lead to the suspension of the account.

5. Prohibited content

Any content that is unlawful, misleading or defamatory, that advertises products unrelated to healthcare, or that infringes the rights of others is prohibited. The publisher may remove any content and suspend any account in breach.

6. Availability and liability

The site is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability. The publisher cannot be held liable for the consequences of inaccurate information published by a professional, of an interruption of the service or of any use contrary to these terms.

7. Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account area (7-day cooling-off period). The publisher may suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these terms, or end the service by giving users advance notice.

9. Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top of the page indicates the version in force. By continuing to use the site after an update, you accept the new version.
